UMKC POLISCI-210

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration

Congress, like the Sheriff of Nottingham from Robin Hood, can tax whatever they please and however they please with no consequence of such action.

I really just like easy comparisons and enjoyable ones. That wolf and the taxes. We don't know what the taxes that the Sheriff (Congress) were for but they had to be paid at any cost, even in pain of a bum leg. You might think you have nothing, yet Congress still will take all they can from even a tiniest penny that makes earning a living that much more difficult because a lot of ones hard working money goes directly to the government. Say we have myself getting a biweekly paycheck and I worked 50 hours in that two week time span for $8/hour. Without federal taxes, which are never guaranteed to be given back in full amount anyway, the check would have equalled to $400. However because that taxing is in place, the gross pay can diminish by any percentage just because Congress says so.

Invited Congress to regulate private behavior so long as it uses its taxes power to use it. Supreme Court opinion can make orders and if orders are not followed are punished by fines considered under "taxes." Power on a platter. The tax season, Congress already has a lot of power. Why not give someone the money that is worked for? That causes one to work less enthusiastically because the percentage amount goes down. Doing nothing; what the government wants us to do, an unconstitutional idea of private governing, is what the Congress can tax you for. Are taxes so important to create revenue for the government, a government that is trillions in debt and using any hard earned money from the working to the low class of people just trying to survive life. But because that tax is going into thin air to the minds of the citizens, then why are we so much in debt. It doesn't or will it ever matter when one has more power and more money. Soon those perks run out
