No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
Any member of the militia or police force may take property for their own use without permission of property owner at any time, peace or war, unless otherwise stated by law.
I agree with this amendment in the fact that it is a danger to any one person to allow strangers access into one's home. A soldier is still a stranger and so should be allowed to force way into the home of another citizen. The soldiers as well, usually have a case of PTSD for the horrors that they've seen in the wars. This creates a dangerous environment for those around them and so would create a dangerous circumstance for any homeowner and family member. As well, no homeowner is reimbursed for the need to house and because of such should not have to reply in a "yes" manner of housing any one individual.
It is important for children as well to know this amendment as they are easily accessed by strangers and pedophiles. Am I saying that every militiary member is a pedophile, by no means. But if the house is answered by the child or one not of consenting age of adultery, they still allow access from the military into their house. This young boy created this short to show a visual of any military persons trying to invade the home. As well as this, it also puts the family themselves in danger of any enemy lying in bounds of the property and that falls under the category of getting in the way of another person's right to liberty and freedom and property. Those are unalienable rights given by the law of the land, The Constitution.
Plain english of describing the third amendment and a case given there of. I don't think it should be applicable in any time peace or war even if the government says otherwise. It still puts a danger to the family and homeowners of that property that would have to be required to house any military person or really any person. They don't know the soldier. They don't know if or how they can trust them so in any time why have to force them? Forcing any one person to house another puts a strain financially, personally, and mentally on the property owners. The soldiers themselves should be given ample resources to house themselves and not become a danger to those around them on home territory of the United States.
