UMKC POLISCI-210

Section 1. The terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the 3d day of January, of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin.
Section 2. The Congress shall assemble at least once in every year, and such meeting shall begin at noon on the 3d day of January, unless they shall by law appoint a different day.
Section 3. If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.
Section 4. The Congress may by law provide for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the House of Representatives may choose a President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them, and for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the Senate may choose a Vice President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them.
Section 5. Sections 1 and 2 shall take effect on the 15th day of October following the ratification of this article.
Section 6. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission.

The term of the President and Vice President shall end on the 20th of January while the inauguration of the next President and Vice President shall commence. The Congress term shall end of the 3rd of that same January. This is the day that Congress is to meet to fulfill their requirement of meeting at least once a year. If the President suddenly dies before his inauguration, the Vice President therefore takes over the role of Presidency. This goes also if the President is found unqualified or absent on the date aforementioned. If neither one is found qualified someone is to take the chair until a person better qualified can fulfill the Presidency. The House chooses the President when they can and the Senate chooses the Vice President when they can. October 15th is when the first sections go into full effect, right before the next election of that time. This amendment would not have been added if not for a 3/4 majority vote within the seven year grace period from submission to deletion.

Though I am well aware, as anyone should be, that Washington was well passed at the time of ratification of this amendment, this just gives an image of how the inauguration of the President works[ed] in the President taking an oath, swearing over the bible (and you can't tell me that this country is not made of religious background [Christianity] in the backing of how things are run in this country)

All the qualifications of being President over the United States. I agree with this. People have standards that are although not written down indefinitely, they are understood to be the standard of living: Christian, heterosexual, obesity, etc. Kiss those babies and shake those hands because the sheepy minds of the citizens of America follow what they think is someone being personable with them, not necessarily the ideals of how to run the country and what their issues are. Political jobs, I think, have a secret school that teaches how to debate without actually answering any questions, a political stereotype. However, being political can happen anywhere; grades in education, how to move up in the job area etc. People reading people and pushing what they know to be interested in by the second party, this is how any social standing works; we brownnose until we get what we want.
